**********Recent Chapter Events**********
On November 19, 2011, the Chapter held a women's hunt in conjunction with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources at Atterbury FWA. The event had a record number of participants.
 
On October 15, 2011, the Chapter sponsored a youth hunt at the Glenns Valley Conservation Club in Martinsville, Indiana.  View photos from this successful event.
 
On August 20, 2011 the Central Indiana Chapter held the annual sporting clay fundraising shoot and was blessed with a successful event with nearly 100 participants. In addition to the volumes of door prizes, guns, and silent auction items, everyone received a PF membership, round of sporting clays, lunch, Filson gift bag and PF/Browning hat.  A big thank you goes out to our sponsors that made the event possible.  Please visit our Sponsors page and show them your support.  To see highlights of the shoot, view this slideshow.

Pheasants Forever, Inc. is a nonprofit conservation organization formed in 1982 in response to the continuing decline of upland wildlife.  Central Indiana Chapter #642 is made up of all Pheasants Forever members that live in the Indiana Counties of: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, and Marion. 

Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasant, quail, and other wildlife through habitat improvement, public awareness, education, and land management policies and programs.  As a result, the objectives and purpose of Chapter #642 are to:

  • Protect, restore, and enhance wildlife habitat by establishing and maintaining local and regional projects

  • Develop, distribute, and foster conservation education

  • Introduce and advance prudent conservation policy

  • Acquire and preserve critical habitat through public land acquisition open to public hunting

 

The Chapter meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at the Gander Mountain North and Gander Mountain South stores.
